Many of our creative talent come from different ancestral heritages. We want to celebrate the stories of the people that make up this community. Our very own marketing queen, Viviane Williams, has part of her roots growing from Ghana...so I figured it was a perfect opportunity to look at what has been happening in the West African country.

This past Christmas, a variety of African American and UK celebrities took part in The Full Circle Festival 2018 held in Accra, Ghana (West Africa). The festival was a celebration of honouring ancestry cultural teachings and customs through celebrating the legacy and the rich heritage of Ghana. The event was chaired by the President of Ghana, his Excellency President Nana Akufo-Add and it was hosted by the actor/ model, Boris Kodjoe who is of both Ghanian and German descent.
The variety of celebrities was immense, they included the likes of, Anthony Anderson, Idris Elba, Michael Jai White, Gillian Iliana White, Bozoma Saint John, Naomi Campbell, Ernestine Johnson Morrison, and his girlfriend Cynthia Bailey. It has been reported that many of the celebs were relishing every moment in the country, according to broadcaster Mike Hill.
The Fox Sports host who tagged his time in the country as an “incredible” one, noted that he will also consider returning to Ghana and investing.
“I’m definitely taking a lot of Ghana back to the states with me!! It’s so incredible over here! I will definitely be investing my time and money in this country in the future! #FullCircleFestival2018 #Akwabba,” he shared on social media photoblog Instagram.
It's brilliant to see such a positive step in the right direction in order to develop a country such as Ghana. The country is rich in beauty, vibrant culture, compassionate people, and wonderful food.
The creativity and vibrancy shines through and it beautiful to see. Ghana has long been on my list of African countries I would like to visit.
Has one else visited Ghana recently? I would love to hear your thoughts.
