Meet Jonny | An Ethically-minded Industry Expert in Photography

Jonny is 35. He grew up in south London, in a low-income home. He grew up believing that he would become just another statistic.

As a teenager, Jonny started hanging around with his local gang and started getting into trouble.

An elderly man who lived in his council block was a retired photojournalist, and Jonny always said hello when they passed each other in the lift. The old man could see that Jonny wasn't like the other kids he was hanging out with, not really anyway. He saw potential in him and decided to give Jonny his old camera - on condition that Jonny brought him a printed roll of film once a month.

Jonny started spending so much time taking photographs that he soon didn't have time for the gang life. Through his lens, he was able to see the best and the worst of society.

Now Jonny lives in New York, and he works on big campaigns for global brands, has a model girlfriend and is "living the dream."

Jonny never forgot where he came from though and still has that camera. He continues to prints one roll of film each and every month. Jonny works with organisations that support marginalised people and youth at risk to help other kids see their potential. He also teaches them how to sustain their livelihoods.

Jonny did become a statistic. He became a #freelancecreative, one of the fastest growing contributors to the economy.

Johnny is a novel creative. He also loves to use our platform to book his team when working on important assignments.
