Whether you are a student, photographer, food stylist, makeup artist or a film maker, time is one of life’s most valuable possessions and it is something you can never get back. Time management is really life management. Understanding how to make every day count for something is the key.

Time management minimises stress, improves the overall quality of your life and makes your
workload efficient and productive. Being a creative can often be precarious, so if you are overwhelmed by the complexity of projects and your life, it is likely because you have not fully mastered effective time management. Layering the foundation for effective time management is what is needed in a global community of like-minded creative individuals. The art of delegation, getting adequate sleep and having a healthy diet/exercising regularly helps to improve focus and concentration throughout the day, allowing for more time to complete tasks.
If you take a bus or train, how do you spend all those hours a week? How many audiobooks have you finished? These are the best times throughout your day to incorporate all those little things that you “wished” you had time for. Being a creative, especially a new freelancer saying no to none essential tasks and prioritising ones of extreme value can be tricky at times, so consider your goals and look at your timetable before agreeing to take on more work on.
Your working environment aids the productivity of what is needed to be completed. Everyone has a place where they work the most effectively for example; listening to music or working in silence wherever that place might be. It's important to recharge and regain the energy for your next creative project and deliver the results in a timely fashion, remember time management is really life management.
Let me know how you get on!
