Sophie is 43 and lives on a boat on the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. She loves living on the water and in a small space. It means she can live mindfully. It also helps to alleviate Sophie's anxiety.
As a child, her dad world read her stories about exotic lands and taming colourful dragons. These stories helped to expand Sophie's imagination. She even began writing stories of her own and saved up her pocket money to buy herself a small 'camcorder' and began making little films about slugs and snails and puppy dogs tails.
Sophie still makes films. She makes films about people, the planet and animals. Sometimes she makes films about people dancing in exotic colours while trying to save the planet.
At the end of a filming assignment, Sophie likes to go back to her little houseboat on the Prinsengracht and look at all the footage that she captured and then, slowly and methodically edit all the snippets together to tell a story about the things that matter to her.
